Welcome to Seattle! Whether you are planning your first visit, or 100th, there is always something happening, all year long.
Maybe you are here for a specific reason and are looking for something to fill up an afternoon or evening. Or maybe you came
here to see your favorite performer. Either way, we here at Seattle Oasis want your trip to be the best that it can be – including
fun events. With so much to choose from, we thought it might make it easier to have you start with some basic information on
venues and give you resources to find that perfect THING, you know, the one that gives you amazing memories for years to come!
Let’s start with the basics: Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, StubHub, Brown Paper Tickets, and Eventful all offer tickets to
almost every event in Seattle. If you’re looking for a guide to concerts, festivals or arts events, The Stranger, Seattle Theater,
Visit Seattle and the Seattle Center Events Guide are wonderful resources.
If sports are your thing, we have the Seahawks (NFL) and Sounders FC (MLS) who play at CenturyLink Field, the Mariners
(MLB) who play at T-Mobile Park (formerly Safeco Field), the Storm (WNBA) who currently play at the Angel of the Winds Arena in
Everett, but will be moving to the now under-construction Seattle Center Arena, and the Thunderbirds (WHL) who play at
the ShoWare Center in Kent.
If you like musicals, plays, and the arts, Seattle boasts some of the best on the West Coast; there is a performance virtually
every night of the week. Check out the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall or the PNW Ballet and Seattle Opera at McCall
Hall. As far as theaters with national shows coming through all the time – we have the 5th Ave, Paramount, ACT, Intiman and
Seattle Repertory theaters on the top of the list.
And seeing as how Seattle is a Foodie paradise, there are tons of events centered around amazing things to eat and drink. Some
of the best are the Seattle Food and Wine Experience in February, Restaurant Week in April and the Bite of Seattle in July.
We hope this, along with the calendar on the following pages, helps you make the most of your visit to the Emerald City. If you
still have questions, please make sure you let us know – the staff at SOVR are all locals and know the ins and outs of all things
fun, food and experiences in Seattle! For more ideas on what to do while here, please visit our website for Attractions and Blog
