Nationally, Restaurant Week has become a popular way for people to experience stellar local restaurants at an affordable price. Restaurants get exposure and full tables on week days and patrons get to check out new hot spots or experience fine dining eateries they reserve for special occasions – at a discount! Seattle is a restaurant mecca so catching Restaurant Week fever when you’re in town is a great way to maximize your vacation time and stay on budget. Seattle Restaurant Week is a 10-day celebration of dining out that happens in April and again in October. The spring Restaurant Week occurs April 12 through 16 and April 19 through 23. More than 160 local restaurants serve up to three-course dinners for only $30 and many offer two-course lunches for just $15. Prices are per person, don’t include drinks, tax, or tip, and are not available on Friday, Saturdays, or for Sunday brunch. It’s a cinch to participate, you don’t need a pass, ticket, or coupon, simply visit any participating restaurant during the 10 days and enjoy the special prix fixe menus. Because it’s such a tasty deal and Restaurant Week has become so popular, it’s a great idea to make a reservation before you go. Make your reservations with the restaurant like you normally would. There are only so many meals in a day and there’s no way you can try out all the restaurants so here’s a sampling of a few spots not to miss. Last year Seattle Met’s critic wrote a fun article listing a variety of spots she recommends. Check out the current listing of participating restaurants on the Seattle Restaurant Week website.
