Ready Yourself for an Epic Football Game

It’s about to get crazy up in here, round two!

Yep, we are doing it again this weekend.  Below is our blog from last week, with updates regarding times and entertainment for this week’s game against the Packers!  Kickoff is at 12 (of course) noon, so get out there and enjoy NFL play off football!

If you haven’t noticed, Seattle is a little Seahawks-centric. Almost colligate in the energy and spirit this city gives to its home teams, the Seahawks open their 2014 post-season against the Carolina Panthers this evening. Blue and green is everywhere, 12 flags are flying, and for visitors, it probably appears a bit cult-like.

All that being probably true, there is great fun to be had for fans of football, if not the two particular teams playing tomorrow. It is, after all, the NFL play-offs, and there is a history of good, close games as well as an upset, or two. Even if you don’t have tickets, I would still suggest heading to the stadium district this afternoon. People-watching will be epic, but there are some organized activities a fan of the sport of football might enjoy.

Touchdown City will open at 9:00am. Game tickets are NOT required to enter and you can meet the SeaGals, test your football skills, take part in face painting and more. Local band Funky 2 Death will be playing inside on the main stage.

Blue Thunder Drum Line will be performing outside the stadium at various times during the afternoon before the game.

Also, The Triple Shot Band will be playing classic rock n roll on the outdoor stage located at the northwest entrance (staircase side) of the stadium and The Walrus will play classic rock in the Brougham Beer Hall.

When the game starts, if you don’t have tickets, head to one of the many sports bars in the area. I suggest Quality Athletics, on First and King.
