Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – a Fundraising Walk in Seattle

breast cancerMake a difference while on vacation this year by planning your time in Seattle to coincide with the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

A celebration of survivorship, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer helps finish the fight against breast cancer by raising funds and walking with more than a million people each year. One of the largest networks of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, Making Strides unites nearly 300 communities who sign up, fundraise, and participate in one of their noncompetitive, three-to-five mile walks. Making Strides was founded in 1993 and has raised more than $685 million to help fight breast cancer. That money has been invested in groundbreaking breast cancer research for the American Cancer Society and provides free, comprehensive information, and support to those effected by breast cancer.

The Making Strides event provides incredible and inspiring opportunities for communities to unite and help those within the American Cancer Society family. Saving more than 490 lives a day, the American Cancer Society helps those who are diagnosed with breast cancer and those who are looking to prevent it. Helping people to stay well and helping those to get well, Making Strides and the American Cancer Society empower those who are touched by cancer and give them the strength to fight back.

Anyone can join the event in Seattle, from CEOs to school children. The Making Strides event is for everyone who wants to support the fight against breast cancer. Having a vacation rental home in Seattle makes it easy and means you can invite more people to join you on your vacation that makes a difference.
