Emerald Green Public Golf Courses in Seattle
Seattle is a beautiful city that should be enjoyed outdoors whenever the weather permits. Why not spend that time on the green? Whether you’re in the Emerald City for business, or pleasure, there are many golf courses located within Seattle’s limits. Many require you to become a member, but here’s a list of public and municipal courses that are highly rated and offer plenty of holes for you to show off your golfing skills.
Riverbend Golf Complex, Eighteen Course and Par-3 Course
Riverbend Golf Complex features two types of courses, a Par-three course and an Eighteen Course. The Par-3 course offers 9 holes and features 1,174 yards of golf for a par of 27. The Eighteen Course showcases 18 regulation holes, a 72 par over 6,666 yards, and a 118 slope. This course has a 70.6 rating on blue grass. The Riverbend Golf Complex features 44 tees driving range and is a golf only facility. Designed by John Steidel, this mostly flat facility opened in 1989 and has been well-maintained ever since.
Auburn Golf Course
Designed by Proctor/Bauman, the Auburn Golf Course features 18 regulation holes located throughout the lush blue grass. This golf only facility features 18 tees driving range and 6,450 yards for the longest tees for a par of 71. The rating of this course is 69 with a 120 slope.
North Shore Golf Course
The North Shore Golf Course features an 18-hole regulation course that expands over lush blue grass. With 65 tees driving ranging and 6,305 yards for the longest tees for a par of 71, this facility is sure to please. Designed by Al Smith, North Shore has a rating of 70.3 and a slope of 129.
Washington National Golf Club
The award-winning Washington National Golf Club is a resort and community facility that is managed by Oki Golf. Featuring 30 tees driving range and 18 regulation holes, this facility is laid out upon bent grass. With 7,305 yards for the longest tees for a par of 72, Washington National showcases a rating of 75.6 with a slop of 141. This golf course was designed by John Fought.
The Golf Club at Newcastle
The Golf Club at Newcastle (China Creek Course) is an award winning facility that was designed by Fred Couples and Robert E. Cupp. This golf only facility features 72 tees driving range and 36 regulation holes over bent grass. Managed by Oki Golf, this golf course showcases 6,716 yards for the longest tees for a par of 71.
