Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration

The Seattle Center Festal starts off the month of May with an Asian Pacific Islander Heritage celebration. This fun cultural experience allows you to experience live performances, visual arts, delicious foods, and hands-on activities. This celebration is perfect for all ages and welcomes all to learn more about local heritage.

Opening on May 1st, the Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration starts at 11:45am and runs until 5pm. This event is located at the Seattle Center on 305 Harrison Street in Seattle. Free and open to the public, this celebration makes a fantastic outing during your Seattle stay. The Seattle Center is easily accessible by local transportation, taxi, or Uber/Lyft.

During this festival you will get to see spectacular dances, youth drill teams, drumming, martial arts, and beautiful work from artists from around Washington state. A fan-favorite Hum eating contest starts at 1:30pm with local celebrity contestants. This all-day family event not only teaches about the local Seattle heritage but also allows you to buy local works of art throughout its lively marketplace.
