To be clear, this building does NOT have air conditioning (almost NO buildings-less than 5%- in Seattle have central air conditioning). Also, be aware that this is a urban environment. In any urban core, you can expect to hear street noise, often late into the evening. If a silent outdoor environment is important to you, downtown Seattle (or any big city for that matter) may not be the best place for you to stay. That being said, this unit in the heart of Seattle--walkable to all the best Seattle has to offer-- and has high quality, noise muffling windows and heavy duty construction. Any questions about this, ask! We want our guests to be happy.
The condo had everything we could possibly want. Sarah was very helpful with 2 small problems that were corrected. The location was wonderful. The only drawback was 3rd--it was on the bus line and the buses were constant!!! Hard to watch TV and sleep. I would stay again, but not on the same side of the building.
Thank you for the kind words. This condo is in the heart of downtown Seattle; steps from nightlife, the Pike Place Market, the waterfront and more. Just about EVERYTHING folks want to see in Seattle is within walking distance. However, being in the center of it all does mean that you are surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city. Some people find the noise too much, and others thrive on the atmosphere. With that being said, there is no better location for enjoying the city than Belltown! Thanks again for the positive review. The apartment is nice and clean and good location. However, it lacks air conditioning. The stay was generally nice but left us with a bitter taste. With the apartment you get a piece of paper called "Parking Pass" for your parking space. Unfortunatly I forgot the piece of papr on the dash board of my rented car. I was charged 100$ (one hundred) for this piece of paper, allegedlly to cover "administrative cost" for the loss. What a costly administration! I would not recommend any visitors to Seattle to do business with the "Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals".
Mr. Manor, We are glad you enjoyed our condo, and its location, cleanliness, etc. We pride ourselves in providing a great location in the heart of the city. This building like most in Downtown Seattle (there are only 2 to our knowledge) does not have central air conditioning. During the summer months we provide multiple fans and the condo does have a large slider to provide for ventilation. However the building, like most in Seattle does not have air conditioning due to the few days it is needed when our average summertime highs are only in the mid 70s. We get our parking passes from the office of the building. They charge us when our guests (or any tenant/owner) do not leave behind the laminated parking pass. They are probably charged in turn by the company that actually manages the parking garage. We just pass that cost on to our guests when they forget and are unable to recover the pass. We have to do this as we offer FREE PARKING for o
Really great location for visiting Seattle for the first time. We are a senior couple that like to walk. We walked pretty much everyplace that we wanted to visit and there was excellent bus service, usually near the front door, for everywhere else. The unit was clean, efficient and was stocked with all necessary equipment and gadgets. The roof garden was attractive and useful as we happened to have great weather. The negative was alarm noises at night due to the location nearby of a fire station.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our condo! We are in a great location with great bus services as well as walkability. Our walk score is a 98, so you'll find that you'll be able to walk to nearly everything in Downtown Seattle. With that being said we are in the heart of downtown Seattle. Because of this, there are the noises one might expect in an urban environment. This condo is located on the 6th floor (of 7) and so isn't right on the street but does face 3rd avenue, which is one of the main streets of downtown Seattle with buses, etc. Generally most people find the location and proximity to The Pike Place Market, The Space Needle, and amazing restaurants to be well worth any urban noises that may come up during their stay. Thanks for staying with us, and let us know when you are back in town, happy to host again in this building, or one of our others. Darik Eaton Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals
Our stay in Seattle was great. The location of the condo was perfect. Pretty much walking distance to all of the attractions. Neighborhood wasn't perfect but typical of being in a big city. Small grocery store across the street. Condo perfect for two people or family with one child. Very nicely decorated. Has all of the needed appliances etc... Parking in the garage was great and included in the rental cost. Just don't have a big car or truck. Spaces are rather small. We would definitely stay there again.
Thanks for staying with us! We are glad you had a great time and enjoyed our location, amenities, and provided parking! The parking is in an underground garage, and there are people with SUVs and Trucks that live and stay in the building. However with most parking garages, maneuvering can be tricky if you aren't used to it, especially in a rental car. Many of our guests even skip the rental car line thanks to the central link light rail from the airport that drops you off just 5 blocks away. Let us know when you are back in town, happy to host you again! Darik Eaton Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals
Condo was very convenient, esp. since the city bus stopped right outside the building. During our stay, the bus was free within the downtown zone, so we enjoyed seeing the local sights without the hassles and added expense of driving and parking. The only "con" was that the apt. got really warm towards the end of our stay since we lucked out and had several beautiful, sunny days. Since it had a western exposure, it heated up inside and without a/C (which we understand most Seattle buildings don't need), the rooms were a bit stuffy at night. But overall, the condo was excellent for our needs! Thank you!
Thanks for your kind words! We are lucky to be close enough to walk, and have the convenience of the buses on 3rd that can help you get around as well! Seattle is one of those cities without A/C. Less than 30% of people have A/C and only 1 residential building in all of Downtown Seattle has central A/C due to our mild climate. We have 3 fans in the unit, and more in back up in storage, so I wish you would have called and let us know we would of happily brought more if they were needed. Glad you had a great time, and enjoyed our great location, and hope you come back and pay us a visit. Cheers, Darik Eaton Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals
What a wonderful central location! We were able to park the car (for free) and walk every where we wanted to go! The bus stop was right outside the front door. The unit was the perfect size for 2. Only suggestion is to replace both of the bar stools, they look great, but are not sturdy.
Thanks for the kind words. It's great to hear you enjoyed your time with us. Regarding the bar stools, we are looking to replace them based on your suggestion. Thank you again, and please keep us in mind for your next trip to Seattle! Best regards, Sarah Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. The location was excellent and the condo itself was adorable. It was great to be able to do our own cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with the necessary cookware(the only thing I couldn't find was a larger mixing bowl). There were four of us and the condo did feel a little tight but we made it work. I think the only real complaint is that the pull out couch wasn't comfortable, you could feel all the springs, and my friend ended up sleeping right on the floor while the other took the couch.
We rented two rooms, side by side, for a bachelorette party weekend. The location was fabulous. The rooftop patio was a perfect spot to all eat breakfast together in the morning, or have a drink and look over the city in the evening. The rooms are nicely decorated with all the cooking appliances and amenities we needed. My only concern was the pull out couch - definitely not comfortable!
The location was great. Very centrally located for all of the items on our "to visit" list. But what was really fantastic was how clean the apartment was. Thank you for helping to make our stay so comfortable.
Seattle was cold when I was in town so it was lovely to have an apartment that was warm and had all the comforts of home. I didn't want to go out at night as I was traveling alone so I really appreciated the kitchen to cook my fresh produce from Pike Markets. The apartment is central to everything and was very clean and well appointed. If I'm ever in Seattle again I would use Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals again, everything ran smoothly with no fuss.
I'm so glad you got to enjoy our great location, and proximity to Pike Place Market! Its such a joy to bring home fresh flowers, produce, meats and everything you might need to make a gourmet meal at home! We look forward to hosting you on your next trip back, Cheers, Darik Eaton Seattle Oasis Vacation Rentals
I was travelling alone to visit family and decided to stop in Seattle for 3 days on my way home. The weather in Seattle was very cold and quite miserable so sight seeing became difficult. I was really glad to have such a warm and comfortable place to stay. The apartment is small but was perfect for my needs (much bigger than any hotel room). The lounge was very cosy and I appreciated the home feel of the apartment. It is very close to everything so I walked everywhere. I shopped at Pike markets and Wholefoods as well as the little grocer across the road, the kitchen in the apartment is great and I really am glad I chose this place so I didn't have to go out at night to find dinner. The only problem I had was working out the cable, which proved to be problematic, but I muddled throught it. If I'm ever in Seattle again I would definitely stay here again.
This unit is located in Belltown, walking distance to everything that we wanted to do. We went to Pike's Market and bought fresh seafood, fruit, vegetables and took full advantage of the kitchen. The building has great parking. We're from the south and didn't know that the building didn't have air, however it wasn't even necessary. Darik and Sally were available and answered all of our questions. We will definitely stay again.
