Seattle’s 2015 Summer Wine & Beer Festivals
Summer is here and with it comes all the deliciously fun Seattle wine and beer festivals. This year enjoy multiple drinking festivities that not only include beer or wine, but also live music and food, too.
Music and Wine July 9 Elliott Hall at Bell Harbor (Pier 66) Enjoy sipping wine with snacks and then dancing to live music at Wine Rocks on Pier 66. Historically, this is a sold-out event, so make sure to get your tickets quick. Wine Rocks is a non-profit festival that gathers local winemakers, craft brewers, and musicians to showcase exceptional wines, unique distillates, and savory fare all against a background of music. It benefits the University District Food Bank.
Beer Festival July 10 – 12 Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion SIB, Seattle International Beerfest is a top-notch three-day festival that specializes in exotic beers. It allows you to choose from over 200 beers. You’ll be able to enjoy a variety of hops and ales amongst beer enthusiasts like yourself. Tickets include beer tokens and non-drinker tickets are available. This space offers plenty of seating and you can BYOB – bring your own blanket! A huge, lush grass lawn is wide open for picnic-style seating.
Kirkland Wine Tasting July 17-19 Marina Park, 25 Lakeshore Plaza Drive Kirkland Uncorked brings wine, art, food, and vendors all into one spot for your tasting, dining, and viewing pleasure. It features wines from world-class Washington wineries, taste treats from notable restaurants, and appearances from the Northwest’s most prestigious celebrity chefs. This festival is split into two parts, with a 21 and older tasting garden and all-ages street fair. Not just a decadent weekend, this festival benefits Homeward Pet Adoption.
Phinney Beer Tasting July 18 Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave N The Summer Beer Taste features microbrews, pub food, and music outdoors. With 10 tastes from over 21 local microbreweries, there is one that is sure to make your taste buds tingle. Barking Alehouse Brats and pub snacks included. This is a 21+ event where no kids or pets are allowed.
Bremerton Beer Tasting July 18 Bremerton Boardwalk, 100 2nd Street The Bremerton Beer Tasting festival has moved to the waterfront this year. Just a short walk from the Seattle-Bremerton ferry, this event features 30 Washington breweries pouring more than 100 craft beers. Celebrating summer, breweries will be focusing on fruit infused beers. Enjoy live music and local food during this event.
Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival July 25 Gig Harbor downtown waterfront The Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival brings tasting tents with 60+ wineries, craft distilleries, breweries, and select fine restaurants and food purveyors. Celebrity chef appearances will be made along with a celebrity chef cook-off. With an onsite retail store and a seminar that you may attend, this fun and educational festival will have you craving more.
